What a powerful question that I have had to ponder as well! In my study of this dilemna over the 12 years I’ve consulted pre-schools and created coaching alliances with parents of “so-called” special needs children, there are a number of glaring thorns that need the be pulled out of our rear ends.
99.9% Female Dominated Settings (boys get in real trouble just for being)
50% + Female Dominated Home-lives (No more Daddy to be a role model)
Shows like Super Nanny that affirm a twisted view of family values and Dads…
I could go on, but I have reserved it for my new book, The 30-Day Parent Plunge, a Spirit-led journal for work-at-home-parents including dad.
Thanks so much for raising the question and giving us something else to talk about besides how good we are at bashing our men. Yikes!
Believe well!
