This is very sad. And one of the things it suggests is that, in some ways, it doesn’t seem to matter how much education these people have. In an economy such as this one, there are so many potential employees that the employers can be selective on any dimension they want. And current projections call for the unemployment situation to improve very slowly over the next couple of years. What effect will this have on attempts to improve educational achievement?
